Request a free rental quote
1. Check documents before travelling
If you plan to rent with a foreign driving licence, check current requirements for the country that issued it, your length of stay and your driver profile. Ask the company to confirm licence acceptance, passport or identity requirements, and whether a translation or International Driving Permit is needed. Do not assume that one document checklist applies to every country and supplier.
Turing highlights differences between local rules and rental-company practices concerning International Driving Permits. Review the relevant official guidance and your chosen supplier’s written conditions before travelling. Confirm driver-age rules, how long you must have held your licence and any additional-driver conditions at the same time.
2. Compare the full terms, not just a daily price
Request quotes for the same pickup and return dates, vehicle category and collection point. Ask which currency the total uses and whether tax, extra drivers, child seats, delivery or out-of-hours arrangements are included or charged separately. If an essential item is unclear, get a written answer before accepting the offer.
A photograph or category name does not confirm that a particular model or automatic transmission has been reserved. Confirm the model policy, transmission, luggage space and essential equipment with the supplier. This guide does not provide a live availability or fixed-price guarantee.
3. Ask about deposits and payment cards
Treat the rental charge and security deposit as separate items. Ask about the deposit amount, accepted cards, whether the main driver must be the cardholder and how the authorisation is released. Check your own bank’s conditions for overseas transactions and currency conversion separately.
Do not assume a universal refund or authorisation-release deadline. Read how the supplier and bank handle the process and how damage claims or later toll charges are documented. This platform does not collect vehicle-rental payments or rental security deposits.
4. Read insurance cover and its limits
Ask in writing which cover is included, the excess or driver liability and the exclusions. Ask specifically about glass, tyres, the underside, keys and roadside assistance. A phrase such as “full protection” should not be treated as unlimited cover without reading the policy and rental conditions.
At collection, record existing marks, fuel level and mileage with the supplier, and keep photographs and the handover record. Before driving away, understand whom to contact after damage or a breakdown and which documents the supplier requires.
5. Plan for HGS tolls, fuel and mileage
HGS is the electronic toll system used on bridges and motorways in Türkiye. Consult the current KGM guidance. For a rental vehicle, ask the supplier about the toll account, how and when crossings are billed, and any administration charge. This guide does not quote current toll tariffs or penalty amounts.
Check the collection and return fuel policy and any daily or overall mileage limit. For a longer journey between cities, explain your route before requesting a quote and ask about excess mileage, returning to a different location and any route restrictions.
6. Airport collection and one-way returns
If you need airport pickup, confirm that the supplier offers it. Agree the airport, terminal, flight time, meeting point and how to make contact after a delay. An off-airport office and a terminal handover are different arrangements; ask about out-of-hours charges and waiting policies.
If you want to collect in one city and return in another, include that in your first request. Obtain the supplier’s agreement and any one-way fee in writing. Check separately whether taking the vehicle outside Türkiye or using a particular route requires permission; submitting a quote request does not arrange these services automatically.
Turn your search into a clear quote request
Whether you search for car rental, rent a car or car hire in Turkey, compare options against the same needs. Pickup location, duration and vehicle preferences help suppliers give a useful reply.
Plan airport or city pickup
If you arrive by air, include the airport, terminal, flight time and possible delays in your request. Ask whether pickup is at the terminal or a nearby office, and confirm out-of-hours arrangements and delivery fees. Airport pickup or a transfer service is not assumed for every supplier.
Daily, weekly, monthly and longer rentals
Longer rental periods may change the total price, mileage allowance, maintenance responsibilities and extension terms. Request a written quote for the same dates rather than multiplying a listed daily price. Confirm that the supplier offers monthly or longer-term rentals.
Economy, automatic, SUV or a larger vehicle
Consider passengers, luggage, transmission and route together. Confirm the listed category, fuel type and the vehicle to be supplied; do not assume a guaranteed make, model or transmission. Compare the complete terms of quotes that meet the same needs.
One-way routes and a different return city
If pickup and return cities differ, specify both from the start. Ask whether one-way returns, another branch or another city are supported, and request the full extra charge. Travel-route suggestions do not mean every company offers these arrangements.
Do not assume that “cheap”, “no deposit” or “without a credit card” search results guarantee those terms. Confirm inclusions, payment/security methods and cancellation terms in writing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book and pay for a rental on this website?
The platform is a promotion and communication service that forwards a customer’s free quote request to suitable local firms. Confirm the reservation, rental contract, deposit and rental payment directly with your chosen company.
Is requesting a quote free?
Customers are not charged for requesting quotes. Companies pay for the quote-reply service. Sending a request does not guarantee a reply or an available vehicle.
Will my rental company speak English?
Ask your chosen supplier which languages it supports. An English-language website does not mean every company offers English assistance. Also confirm that you can review the contract in a language you understand.
Are rental terms identical across Türkiye?
No. Commercial terms can vary by supplier, vehicle category and handover arrangement. Our city guides help with travel planning; they do not guarantee a vehicle or participating company in every city.
