Xanthos–Letoon

Why does it matter?
Xanthos–Letoon comprises neighbouring sites in Antalya and Muğla. The city and sanctuary illuminate Lycian culture through funerary architecture and inscriptions. Their monuments reveal exchanges with other Mediterranean traditions, while texts found at Letoon are particularly important to understanding Lycian language and history.
